David Pitlarge is a partner in Hill Dickinson’s Marine Trade and Energy Group. David works in the Shipping Team and has a wide-ranging practice acting for clients within the shipping industry. David’s clients include shipowners, charterers, managers, insurers (particularly P&I), brokers and banks. David frequently acts for non-English lawyers with their English Law problems. While much of David’s work involves contentious aspects of the business in the London Courts and Arbitration Tribunals, he also undertakes drafting/contentious work within the shipping field. David’s recent experience includes:- Charterparties, Bills of lading, MOAs, Shipbuilding contracts, FFA ’s, Ship management contracts, Agreements relating to the use of offshore structures and vessels. David Pitlarge qualified as a solicitor in 1989. He worked for Holman Fenwick Willian for 17 years, 9 of them as a partner. David joined Hill Dickson in 2006 in its Greek Office. David returned at the end of 2006 to Hill Dickinson’s London Office after spending 8 years working in Piraeus and has a particular interest in the Mediterranean markets.
